Pavel Nonchev

is a Bulgarian hotel Revenue Management expert and the founder of RevPAR Ltd., the first company in Bulgaria specialized in hotel pricing and revenue management consulting. He serves as a lecturer in Hotel Pricing at Burgas State University Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov and Veliko Tarnovo University St. Cyril and St. Methodius, works as a consultant for Quendoo, and conducts research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and hotel Revenue Management.

For more than two decades, I have been working in the hotel industry, and in recent years I have focused entirely on one of the most important challenges for every hotel – how to increase its revenue in an intelligent and sustainable way.

My professional journey begins in operational hotel positions and progresses through all key management levels – Front Office Management, Sales Management, Yeld and Revenue Management. This experience gives me the advantage of understanding not only the numbers, but also the real challenges that hotel owners, general managers, and sales teams face on a daily basis.

Over the years, I have been involved in managing sales and revenue for some of the most successful hotels in Bulgaria, which allows me to apply proven international practices adapted to the specifics of the Bulgarian tourism market.

Many hotels perceive Revenue Management as a pricing process. In reality, it is a comprehensive business strategy. It includes proper demand management, distribution, customer segmentation, contractual relationships with tour operators, B2B channels, direct sales, and the use of technology to make better decisions. My job is to turn all these elements into a working system that delivers measurable results.

Partner in technological innovation in the hospitality industry

In parallel with my consulting work, I collaborate closely with the Bulgarian hotel startup Quendoo.

I advise their hotel partners on Revenue Management, hotel pricing, B2B channel development, and sales strategies. I actively participate in processes aimed at optimizing hotel performance through a combination of expert knowledge and modern technological solutions.

I believe that the future belongs to hotels that successfully combine human expertise with the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence and the future of hotel pricing

One of my core professional missions is the development of AI solutions for the hospitality industry. Together with Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov,” we are conducting research in the field of artificial intelligence and hotel pricing. My role is to analyze the results of AI models, validate their effectiveness, and train AI agents for better performance within hotel software systems.

Our goal is to create solutions that can support hotels in:

  • more accurate demand forecasting;
  • dynamic pricing;
  • competitive environment analysis;
  • process automation;
  • increasing revenue and profitability.

Lecturer and trainer of the next generation of hoteliers

In addition to being a consultant and practitioner, I am also a lecturer.

I teach the course “Hotel Pricing” as a part-time lecturer at Burgas State University “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov” and Veliko Tarnovo University “St. Cyril and St. Methodius”. My goal is to pass on to future professionals not only theory, but also real practical experience from the hotel industry accumulated over the years.
